Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
The fruit is always our focal point of the wine, especially for such a complex variety like Chardonnay. The glass reveals pineapple cake, lemon blossoms, and blood orange notes. The palate offers texture, beautiful acidity, and the classic richness of Chardonnay. Bright, fresh, and vibrant, it captures the essence of this beloved variety.
Vineyard Notes
A beautiful blend of fruit from two distinct microclimates in the Okanagan Valley. Our 28 years old vines in Okanagan Falls naturally crop low, and bring a concentration and intensity to the fruit, which is complimented by the cooler temperatures. Our southern estate vineyards offer a more rich, opulent flavour profile to the fruit, due to the sand based soils and warm climate.
Winemaker Notes
Meticulously selected at peak ripeness, our Chardonnay clusters underwent delicate hand sorting and whole cluster pressing. Following a thoughtful choice of French oak and toasting levels, the juice fermented in oak barrels with regular stirring. We carefully monitored each barrel, allowing malolactic fermentation only if it enhanced the fruit profile and texture. After 11 months in oak, we blended and bottled the wine.
Food Pairing Notes
